HOW DOES IT WORK?

During the treatment, lasers emit energy in the form of light onto the skin. The melanin in the hair absorbs this energy and converts it into heat which then destroys the hair follicles to prevent or stop hair growth. 

The Pearl is a resurfacing laser that gently and safely treats signs of aging and damaged skin. The Pearl procedure reduces fine wrinkles with fewer treatments and less overall recovery than other technologies. A pattern of light pulses treat both the top layer of skin and deeper layers of skin, providing long-term benefits with minimal downtime. As you heal, your skin will form a thin protective barrier that will slough around day 3 or 4 after the procedure.

DOWNTIME? 

With the Pearl you only have “social” downtime. You may continue your regular daily activities. However, you may not want to attend any important social events as your face may appear red/pink for approximately 3-4 days after treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? 

Many patients are very satisfied with the results from one treatment. Patients who want/require two treatments would need to space them approximately one month apart to achieve the desired results.

The Cutera XLV laser combines the ideal laser wavelength with the most flexible parameters to deliver a superior vascular laser system. It treats a broad range of vessels from tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins quickly, safely and effectively. Patients with dark, light or tanned skin can experience outstanding results with minimal bruising or blistering.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The system delivers pulses of laser light energy which cause the blood within the vein to coagulate, eventually destroying the vessel which is later reabsorbed by your body. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skins surface.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Often, patients find that one or two treatments are sufficient. However, the number of treatments necessary depends on the number, color, and size of the vessels being treated. 

Pearl Fractional is a fractionated laser perfected for treating photo damaged skin in just one treatment. Fractional therapy describes a treatment that exposes only a fraction of the skin to the laser beam pattern of tiny dots. With Pearl Fractional, laser pulses place tiny holes in the skin. Columns of damaged tissue are selectively removed, leaving surrounding skin intact. After a treatment. the body’s own natural process creates new collagen improving the appearance of fine lines and aging skin.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? 

Most patients get significant improvements after just one treatment.

DOWNTIME?

 After the treatment the skin will look sunburned along with some swelling. Patients report little to no discomfort post-treatment. During post-care, patients apply ointment to skin for four to five days and should avoid all sun exposure.
