Freeze Away Excess Body Fat With CoolSculpting

Freeze Away Excess Body Fat With CoolSculpting

If you’ve always struggled to lose fat in certain areas despite exercising and dieting, we have some good news: You could be a good candidate for a non-invasive treatment that eliminates fat cells.

Compared to skin and muscle cells, fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperature. Because fat freezes at a much higher temperature than skin, scientists were able to create a device that eliminates fat cells without harming the tissues surrounding the fat deposits.

CoolSculpting, also known as cryolipolysis, is a treatment that destroys fat cells by exposing them to cold temperatures.

Dr. Kenneth Sanders uses the latest innovation in CoolSculpting, CoolSculpting® Elite, to help his patients attain the curves they’ve always wanted. Dr. Sanders has extensive experience in this form of bodysculpting as evidenced by his ranking as the “#1 CoolSculpting Elite practice in all of Louisiana”.  Read on to find out what results you can expect from CoolSculpting treatments and what the treatments entail.

Understanding CoolSculpting Elite

In 2010, the FDA approved CoolSculpting for reducing fat pockets. Since then, the devices that deliver cool energy to eliminate fat cells have become more advanced.

Dr. Sanders uses CoolSculpting Elite because, unlike earlier models, it comes with a more compact design and a different application. The new applicator allows for more suction and tissue contact, as well as faster treatments. Also, the newer model allows for the treatment of two areas at the same time.

Most importantly, CoolSculpting Elite delivers superior results. It reduces up to 25% of body fat in the treated areas. In comparison, earlier devices removed only up to 20% of the body fat in the treated areas.

What you can expect during a CoolSculpting treatment

Dr. Sanders uses Coolsculpting to reduce fat tissues in the following areas:

Before the treatment, the CoolSculpting specialist asks you to lay down and relax while he applies a protective gel pad on the problem area.

Next, they place the CoolSculpting device over the gel pad to cool down the fat tissues in the targeted area. During the treatment, you may feel some tingling and a cold sensation, but you won’t feel any pain.

The average CoolSculpting treatment takes about 35 minutes to complete, and it’s done on an outpatient basis.

Because the destroyed fat cells are eliminated via your lymphatic system, you don’t have to worry about developing bumps or irregular textures in the treated areas as you would with traditional liposuction. However, it may take a couple of weeks to see results, as the lymphatic system needs time to eliminate all the dead fat cells.
